The system I teach at Grid + Glam wasn’t just built on my years of experience as a professional organizer. I also teach what worked for me.
When my family and I moved into our forever home, I was deliberate about unpacking and making sure everything had a place.
My home looked neat (like, magazine-worthy neat) on the surface… but I felt like I was constantly running around in circles trying to maintain it.
The upkeep of it all drove me to exhaustion. One day, after picking up my kids following a long day of work, I hit a breaking point.
I found myself yelling at my kids for running around and messing up the kitchen I’d worked so hard to organize and clean.
Stressed, exhausted, and totally overwhelmed, I sank to the floor in tears knowing there had to be a better way.
That moment was like a wake-up call. I realized I had too much stuff in my home and too many responsibilities on my to-do list.
Not only did I need to declutter my home, I had to declutter my life.
And I had to create systems and routines to support that better version of my life, so my family and I wouldn’t fall into the same old bad habits.
I decluttered, organized, and systematized my entire home. I didn’t stop until my home felt the way I wanted it to feel — calm and comfortable, with easy, manageable systems.
When I say organizing your home can change your entire life, I’m speaking from experience. Today, I have so much more space to live the life I truly desire.
When I started Grid + Glam, I knew I wanted it to be more than just your typical professional organizing company.
We love helping our in-person clients get organized! And we also believe that everyone deserves a functional, beautiful home — not just those who can afford to hire a professional organizer.
I wanted to teach busy women how to do it themselves, just like I did. That vision stayed with me for years, and in 2020, I finally created The G+G Home Organizing Membership.
