Sabia Wade, The Black Doula

Sabia is a CEO, revolutionary doula, educator, somatic practitioner, and investor elevating the voices and experiences of marginalized communities. She embraces her role as a liberator of self by birthing new and hidden aspects of individuals while nurturing the spaces within them that have never known love, all with the goal of autonomy, justice, and equity for all.

Dr. Cortlan J. Wickliff

Cortlan J. Wickliff, Ph.D., J.D. is a Motivational Speaker, Author, Lawyer, Engineer, and Entrepreneur, and is currently the Associate Vice Provost of Academic Affairs and Strategic Initiatives at Rice University. He also consults for, advises, and acts as an attorney representing several companies, including multinational companies, spanning a wide range of industries. Dr. Wickliff believes that it is never too early or too late to be impactful. He wants to encourage people across the country to believe in themselves, be ambitious enough to dream big, and be driven to succeed no matter the obstacle!

During this workshop...

You'll learn the five forms of racism, how to distinguish between being an ally and an accomplice, and the difference between diversity and inclusion. 

Collectively, we will move from emotion to action.

White attendees: Increased awareness of the racism in the home organizing and productivity industry, personal action steps to take, and effective language to use.

BIPOC attendees: A sense of feeling seen and heard in a safe environment.
